Piper Perabo is back this fall with a new show on ABC, Notorious. She stars with Daniel Sunjata in this thriller. The story is about “the professional and personal relationship between a charismatic attorney and a powerhouse television producer as they attempt to control the media, the justice system, and ultimately – each other…”
When Piper Perabo was doing Covert Affairs, I was convinced she was the best action hero on TV. For 5 seasons she did everything the male CIA dudes did, but in high heels and way better. I don’t think she’ll see that much action in this series. I hope she plays an interesting and complicated character.
I’m a big fan of novels by Janet Evanovich. Her character Ranger is the ultimate in dark, sexy, mysterious, man-hunks. When the first Evanovich novel was made into a movie (One for the Money), Daniel Sunjata played Ranger. I thought he was perfectly cast. No more Evanovich novels have made it to the big screen, but Sunjata will always be Ranger in my heart. Sunjata’s been in a ton of other things, but … ah, Ranger.
The series has a fairly interesting poster, which carries the news that the show will be on Thursday nights this fall. Why does everything pile up on Thursdays? Really, it takes all weekend to get through all the shows I record on Thursday nights. Can’t something be on Tuesday or Wednesday?
Notorious has both a male and a female creator: Josh Berman and Allie Hagan. It is based on true-life stories of famed criminal defense attorney Mark Geragos and cable news producer Wendy Walker, who serve as executive producers.
There are two teasers so far. The first is brief.
The second gives more clues about the rest of the cast, the relationship between the two lead characters, and the type of drama the series will portray.
What do you think? Are you going to watch Notorious?
