Morgan is a sci fi thriller about an experiment with an artificial human. It stars Anya Taylor-Joy as Morgan. Kate Mara plays an investigator sent to evaluate the experiment and decide its fate.
The plot synopsis is, “A corporate troubleshooter is sent to a remote, top-secret location, where she is to investigate and evaluate a terrifying accident. She learns the event was triggered by a seemingly innocent human, who presents a mystery of both infinite promise and incalculable danger.”
Also in Morgan are Toby Jones, Rose Leslie, Boyd Holbrook, Michelle Yeoh, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Paul Giamatti.
This ominous female fronted tale is directed by Luke Scott, whose father Ridley Scott is one of the producers. Luke Scott spoke to EW about the film and commented, Morgan’s “capacity for intelligence is far greater than the average human being. … But without giving too much away, we can develop a creature which has all of these physical attributes, but what about the emotion and what it means to be a human? That is something that cannot be implanted, it has to be learned.”
Any fans of the old SyFy series Eureka think the sets used in Morgan look familiar?
Morgan will be released in theaters in September 2016.
