Leanne Morgan: I’m Every Woman brings the laughs

Leanne Morgan: I’m Every Woman brings a little over an hour of stand up comedy to Netflix. Leanne Morgan is a very funny woman. She uses a low key delivery and her Southern upbringing to tell the truth in a hilarious way.

Before watching Leanne Morgan: I’m Every Woman, I’d never heard of her. Now I’m subscribed to her on Instagram and YouTube because she is an antidote in this sad world.

Leanne is an older woman (age 57 according to her). She jokes about her marriage, her kids, her parents, her weight, her vacations, her underwear, her youth, and her age. She has an abundance of folksy Southern charm and uses it to surprise with punch lines to her stories that feel utterly real.

My daughter just happened to be watching it with me – a rare thing – and she was laughing and fist pumping in agreement with many of Leanne’s jokes. She especially liked the ones about Leanne’s husband and their relationship, while I identified most with the need for comfortable underwear and a good night’s sleep.

I’m a fan of the Netflix comedy specials and watch a lot of them. This one made me laugh more than usual. If you watch it, please let me know what you thought about it.
