Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda Talk about Female Friendship

“Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin: A hilarious celebration of lifelong female friendship” is a TED Talk with Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin discussing friendship with Pat Mitchell.

Since so many of my top 10 picks for the year 2015 explore the power of female friendship, this conversation between them is especially relevant.

They discuss longevity, feminism, the differences between male and female friendship, what it means to live well and women’s role in future of our planet.

They are both so smart and so articulate. They could have done anything, but they chose to be actors, teachers, activists, leaders. Lucky us that they did. Join the sisterhood!

Two of my favorite stars. Jane was a fitness guru during the 70s. She published a book of exercises, which I used as a guide for my workouts. No video then! And Lily, I will always think about her as the nasal phone operator.
