Perfect Harmony is an NBC comedy. I recently watched all of season 1 in a big gulp on Hulu.Continue reading “Review: Perfect Harmony, season 1”
Juanita is poetic justice in action because it’s about damn time Alfre Woodard had a starring role in a movie of her own. There are some spoilers ahead.Continue reading “Review: Juanita”
The Man in the High Castle is an Amazon exclusive. Season 1 has been available for quite some time, but the cast was so largely male I didn’t have much enthusiasm for the story concept. Only recently did I discover that the main character is Juliana Crane (Alexa Davalos). I gave it a try. I’m glad I did.
The series is complicated with an intricate plot line and many players. I’ll keep things general in this season 1 review, and not give away too many spoilers. Continue reading “Review: The Man in the High Castle, season 1”
It took 14 years, but Nia Vardalos finally brings us the second installment the Portokalos family drama in My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2. The entire cast is returning!
In addition to Vardalos, who wrote this comedy, also returning are John Corbett, Lainie Kazan, Andrea Martin, Michael Constantine, and more. Ian (John Corbett) and Toula (Nia Vardalos), who got hitched in the first big, fat wedding, now have a teenager named Paris (Elena Kampouris). Also new in the cast is John Stamos. The director is Kirk Jones.
The second wedding is not young Paris, but Toula’s parents. It turns out they were never married. Any excuse for an even bigger, fatter, Greeker wedding, right?
Based on the previews, it looks as hilarious as the first film. My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 will be in theaters in March 2016.
I don’t have a list of male stars I make an effort to watch, but if I did John Corbett would be on it. I became a fan during Northern Exposure and he’s never done anything to disappoint me since.
There are some great photos on the movie’s Facebook page.
