Daisy Jones and the Six tells the history of a rock and roll band from its beginnings in the 1970s to its rise to the top in the 1980s. The band loosely resembles Fleetwood Mac and the sound is often eerily reminiscent of them.
The Starling needs a pro vs. con scoresheet for its uneven story. The pros come in the form of a really lovely cast who make the material as good as possible. The cons are that the story is overly sentimental and employs knock-you-over-the-head symbolism to tell the tale. It’s streaming on Netflix. There is a big spoiler ahead.
Santa Clarita Diet hit its Sophomore Slump in season 3. It lost its spark, it got stale. There weren’t enough surprises, turns, or new ideas.
Season 2 of Santa Clarita Diet is even funnier than season 1. This story about a suburban wife, mother and realtor turned into a flesh eating member of the undead sounds like it would be terrible, but it’s really good.
Santa Clarita Diet is a 10 part horror comedy on Netflix. It’s about a married couple who are severely tested when their normal existence is changed because the Mrs. turns into a zombie. The pretty lady is forever undead.
This is Where I Leave You boasts an incredible cast. It looks hilarious. It’s based on a novel by Jonathan Tropper, who also wrote the screenplay for the film. It’s scheduled for a September release.
