Joanna Scanlan in No Offence

Review: No Offence, season 3

No Offence, the British series about a group of Manchester police, has the police facing the loss of one of their own in season3. She was a favorite of mine as well. Big spoiler ahead.

Elaine Cassidy in No Offence

Review: No Offence, season 2

No Offence, season 2, carries on with the same group of hardworking Manchester police we met in season 1. Joanna Scanlan as DI Vivienne Deering runs the place with somewhat unorthodox panache. The overarching crimes of the season involve young children stolen from the child welfare system and put to work in illegal ways.

Joanna Scanlan, Alexandra Roach and Elaine Cassidy in No Offence

Review: No Offence

No Offence is a cop drama from the UK. It features a group of Manchester police who are dedicated to the job, but have interesting and sometimes funny lives as well.

Suranne Jones in Unforgiven

Review: Unforgiven (2009)

Unforgiven, the Unforgiven I’m talking about, is not a Western. It’s a 3 part drama from 2009 and the BBC starring Suranne Jones. I wandered into a conversation about it on Twitter with @gingesbecray and learned that not only does it star Suranne Jones – really all the recommendation a series needs – but it was written by Sally Wainwright.
