TNT’s Good Behavior Had Me at Hello

Michelle Dockery in Good Behavior

Good Behavior coming on TNT this summer stars Downton Abbey’s Michelle Dockery as a hard-drinking ex-con Letty Dobesh. She’s a woman with lots of issues.

Michelle Dockery
Is this the face of a drunken ex-con? The answer is yes, indeed.

I’m completely enthralled by Letty Dobesh, just from this short preview. I’m going to be a fan of Letty Dobesh and the formerly oh-so-proper Edwardian lady playing her with so much heart and grit. Not to mention a very fine American accent.

Here’s the plot synopsis: “Letty Dobesh is a thief and con artist whose life is always one wrong turn, one bad decision, from implosion. Which is just how she likes it. Fresh out of prison, she’s attempting to stay afloat. But when she overhears a hit man being hired to kill a man’s wife, she sets out to derail the job, sending her on a wild collision course with the charming killer, and entangling them in dangerous, seductive relationship.”

The character is based on a series of novels by Blake Crouch. Here’s how the book’s author describes Letty in her first novel: “Letty Dobesh, a gorgeous, degenerate thief, is fresh out of the clink and back to her old tricks—in this case, burglarizing suites at a luxury hotel in Asheville, North Carolina. But when she’s surprised by returning guests on her last room of the day, she’s forced to hide in the closet to avoid getting caught, and inadvertently overhears a hitman being contracted to murder the wife of a wealthy lawyer. Letty is hardly a heroine, but this puts even her threadbare morality to the test.”

I’m feeling like it’s going to be along wait for the summer shows on TNT with Good Behavior in the lineup.
