Marvel’s Jessica Jones will return on March 8. The wait has been crazy long but the payoff is almost here! Season 2 looks dangerous and intriguing.
Jessica (Krysten Ritter) will be searching for answers about her parents and the experiments that gave her powers. We can expect private-eye investigations, plenty of fights, and lots of heavy drinking. Jessica hasn’t lost her sarcasm, either.
We see Jessica exploring the place where she was made into the person she is now. There’s a suggestion that there may have been at least one other person who came out of the same experiments. Jessica asks, “How many others are there like me?”
Here’s the official synopsis of the season: “New York City private investigator Jessica Jones is beginning to put her life back together after murdering her tormenter, Kilgrave. Now known throughout the city as a super-powered killer, a new case makes her reluctantly confront who she really is while digging deeper into her past to explore the reasons why.”
Others we glimpse in the trailer include Trish Walker (Rachael Taylor), Malcolm Ducasse (Eka Darville), and Jeri Hogarth (Carrie-Anne Moss). Kilgrave (David Tennant) will make an appearance, probably as a flashback.
Some new faces this season include Oscar (J.R. Ramirez) and Janet McTeer in a part not yet named on IMDB but you see a glimpse of her in the trailer. A couple of favorites who won’t be back are Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple and Mike Colter as Luke Cage.
Every episode of this season of Jessica Jones will be directed by a woman!
