Watch This: Trailer for Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri

Frances McDormand in Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri

Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri looks so good. So good. It stars Frances McDormand in a part that if it wasn’t written for her, it should have been. It promises to be wonderful, if the trailer can be believed.

Here’s the plot description: “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri is a darkly comic drama from Academy Award winner Martin McDonagh (In Bruges). After months have passed without a culprit in her daughter’s murder case, Mildred Hayes (Academy Award winner Frances McDormand) makes a bold move, painting three signs leading into her town with a controversial message directed at William Willoughby (Academy Award nominee Woody Harrelson), the town’s revered chief of police. When his second-in-command Officer Dixon (Sam Rockwell), an immature mother’s boy with a penchant for violence, gets involved, the battle between Mildred and Ebbing’s law enforcement is only exacerbated.”

Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri is still in post production, according to IMDB. I don’t see a release date more specific than 2017. You can bet I’ll be watching for it. I’ll let you know when they announce the film’s arrival in theaters.

  1. Glad to have found this. I’m a longtime admirer of Frances McDormand. Can’t get enough of her. Loved her in Fargo. Will keep my eyes out for this new one. Have read about comments she’s made during interviews and I also admire the way she thinks.
