Long Story Short, an animated family dramedy
Long Story Short could have been a long story. If it were a novel it would be a generations-long family saga about a Jewish family of about 800 pages. This animated TV series manages to explore the entire family and even a few secondary characters in 10 concise half hour episodes.

A Good Person from writer and director Zach Braff begins on a happy note. Allison (Florence Pugh) and Nathan (Chinaza Uche) celebrate their engagement at a party crowded with friends and family. Allison sings and plays one of her original songs on the piano. Life is good.

Band Aid sticks to you with comedy, music, fighting, and making up. It’s all in the service of dealing with grief and pain. The film is funny and surprising and ultimately heartwarming.

Review: Confirmation, with a dash of Lemonade
I never thought I’d see Confirmation since I don’t have HBO, but Dish had a promotion going to get people to watch HBO and Showtime all weekend. The only thing I wanted to see on HBO was Kerry Washington as Anita Hill in the film Confirmation.
