They Shot the Piano Player review, an animated documentary
They Shot the Piano Player tells the story of what happened to musician Tenório Jr. It’s an animated documentary featuring the voice of Jeff Goldblum as writer Jeff Harris. Harris wrote about music, in particular how the Bossa Nova sound that came out of Brazil in the 1960s and 70s changed music.

The Secret of the River review, excellent Mexican series
The Secret of the River (El Secreto del Río) comes from Mexico. It’s an 8 part series. I thought it was a queer masterpiece full of tender and touching portraits of what it is to be transgender, or muxes, in certain parts of Oaxaca.
