I loved season 1 of GLOW so much! I can’t wait for season 2. Netflix released a trailer for the new season. Lip syncing is involved.
The Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling are back! They body slam their way onto Netflix on June 29. The 10 short episodes of the first season barely had time to let us get to know the women of GLOW. I’m looking forward to learning more about all of them in season 2.
Alison Brie and Betty Gilpin, along with Sydelle Noel, Britney Young, Britt Baron, Kimmy Gatewood, Sunita Mani, Kate Nash, Gayle Rankin, Ellen Wong, and Kia Stevens are among the many stars in GLOW. I’ve seen rumors of a new lesbian character played by Shakira Barrera. Marc Maron tries to make a TV show with this bunch of wild women.
Here’s the synopsis for season 2: “Season 2 follows the women of GLOW as they become local celebrities, confronting the good, the bad, and the ugly realities of their newfound fame. As Ruth (Alison Brie) and Debbie (Betty Gilpin) settle into the day-to-day of making a season of TV together, they confront lingering issues at the heart of their friendship. Sam (Marc Maron) is still Sam, but now he has a teenage daughter living with him and twenty episodes to churn out. The wrestling is harder, the stakes are higher, and the hair is even bigger.”
The women act like maniacs in this teaser.

Because I can never pass up an opportunity to mention Jennifer Beals, I include the original version of “Whip My Hair” as enacted in Flashdance long, long, ago in a dance studio far, far away.
Here’s a bit of behind the scenes madness from the stars as they prepare for their roles.
Hurry up, GLOW! I’m ready!
