Heart of Stone, the Gal Gadot action flick on Netflix, is unfortunate. To be fair to action movies, this one is equal to the improbable plots, impossible stunts, and sci-fi tech of any other action movie. I hoped Gal Gadot would make it better than the others, but she did not.
One Perfect Shot is a docu-series from Ava DuVernay. The title comes from a popular Twitter account by the same name. Six directors are invited to talk about their process and their creation of one perfect shot from one of their films.
Wonder Woman 1984 was a terrific superhero blockbuster extravaganza. But it did not leave me bursting with enthusiasm the way the 2017 film did. I was so wound up by the earlier film I wrote 3 lengthy posts about how great it was. I won’t have that much to say this time.
