Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile, from the book by Bernard Waber, found a new life as a musical starring a sweet crocodile who sings and dances his way into the life of a young boy. It has a good message for kids and is deep enough for the adults with them to enjoy it, too.
Love Life Digs into Love and Life
Love Life starts off so slowly I almost stopped watching. But by about episode 3 or 4 things started to have meaning. My first impression was it was one of those annoying angsty stories about getting dumped. By the end of season 1, Love Life delivered. A second season is already approved at HBO Max.
Destroyer is not an easy film to watch. Detective Erin Bell (Nicole Kidman) is not an easy woman to like. She’s a broken woman trying with her last ounce of energy to make right the mistakes of her past.
Godless is a 7 part mini-series Western from Netflix. It’s a sweeping tale of evil power vs. good. The story features misshapen religion and disastrous interference from the press. There are love stories, family stories, and stories about fathers and sons. It takes place in the 1880s. Beware the spoilers.
