The 355 is basic action flick like any other action flick out there, except the cast consists of Penélope Cruz, Diane Kruger, Bingbing Fan, Jessica Chastain, and Lupita Nyong’o. That’s a difference worth checking out.
Fresh is a story about the crappy dating scene and men who use women. It’s like Promising Young Woman, but carried to a horror movie extreme. Like the earlier film, Fresh comes from women. It was written by Lauryn Kahn and directed by Mimi Cave. This is a spoiler free review.

Destroyer is not an easy film to watch. Detective Erin Bell (Nicole Kidman) is not an easy woman to like. She’s a broken woman trying with her last ounce of energy to make right the mistakes of her past.
Lucky for me I’m not a critic. It seems to me that the main job of a critic is to watch a fun and enjoyable movie or TV show and find things wrong with it so as to make it unenjoyable for anyone else to watch. Which leads to my point: Ricki and the Flash is fun and enjoyable. Lukewarm …
