Tully has all the right ingredients. Stars include Charlize Theron, Mackenzie Davis, Ron Livingston, and Mark Duplass. It’s written by Diablo Cody. Come on, people. This is going to be pure gold.
Here’s the synopsis: “The film is about Marlo, a mother of three including a newborn, who is gifted a night nanny by her brother. Hesitant to the extravagance at first, Marlo comes to form a unique bond with the thoughtful, surprising and sometimes challenging young nanny named Tully.”
Charlize Theron looks plumb tuckered out. This is not one of her glam roles. Mackenzie Davis shows up at her door like the angel of mercy. And Diablo Cody can be wicked funny. I’m all in on this one.
A fun fact about Tully is that director Jason Reitman, writer Diablo Cody and star Charlize Theron previously collaborated on Young Adult.
Tully will be in theaters April 20.
