Review: All Together Now
All Together Now sits firmly in the genre of films that make you worry and feel sad, but rewards you with tears of joy at the end. It’s about a teen with big musical talent played by Auli’i Cravalho.

All the Bright Places looks at some very serious topics through the eyes of young people. It’s a touching, powerful film about grief, mental health, and suicide. Heavy stuff, but dealt with in sensitive and ultimately hopeful ways.
Hearts Beat Loud appears to be a simple story about a father and daughter as she prepares to leave for college. It seems simple, but it’s actually emotionally intricate and complex. Like some of the music in this film, it’s complicated while seeming simple. It’s perfectly written and acted. It’s a wonderful movie. I give it all the stars.
Sam Elliott stars as an aging actor diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in The Hero. He tries to reconcile with his estranged daughter (Krysten Ritter) while striking up a new relationship with a young woman (Laura Prepon).
I’ll See You in My Dreams is a beautiful, tender story about age, friendship, love, life and heartbreak. A magnificent Blythe Danner leads the cast and appears in every scene.
