Identity Thief: 10 year old comedy still funny
Identity Thief somehow passed me by 10 years ago when it was released. Prime Video played it up to me as a new addition, so I gave it a look. It was funny and heartwarming, too. If you missed it earlier, you can catch it now.

Thunder Force is a fun bit of comedy
Thunder Force is another Melissa McCarthy comedy written and directed by her husband, Ben Falcone. It features a coherent plot, lots of silly jokes and references, some fun stunts and a cheerful, open-ended finish. Not great, but a fun romp when something light is what you need. It’s streaming on Netflix.

I so seldom watch children’s movies, but I stumbled on Zootopia because of having guests in the house. I forget that children’s movies are as much for adults as kids these days with jokes and a message for every age.

This is Where I Leave You is so rich and messy and complicated, I won’t even try to give you the details of the story. You get the basic story watching the trailer, which is that a family comes together to sit shiva for 7 days because of the death of the father.

This is Where I Leave You boasts an incredible cast. It looks hilarious. It’s based on a novel by Jonathan Tropper, who also wrote the screenplay for the film. It’s scheduled for a September release.
