Lifetime TV’s Custody premiers March 4th. It has an outstanding cast including Viola Davis as a NYC family court judge, Hayden Panettiere as a lawyer, and Catalina Sandino Moreno as a mom who may lose her kids.
Ellen Burstyn is in the cast as well, but her role isn’t spelled out in any of the pre-publicity.
The story revolves around a court case which involves alleged child abuse. Sara Diaz (Moreno) has her children taken from her after she is suspected of injuring her son. Ally Fisher (Panettiere) a recent law school graduate, is assigned to represent her case. Their Judge is Martha Schulman (Davis), a veteran of the Family Court System.
Viola Davis, who just won an Oscar, was executive producer on the project. Davis has been busy lately, but she’s winning the world in the process. Good for her!
With a cast like this, this should be one of the best ever Lifetime movies. Be watching for Custody.

I missed the season premiere on this one! How was it?
My TV package doesn’t include Lifetime. Sigh. But if you do get Lifetime, you’ll be happy to know that they run their original movies over and over on a rotating basis so you can catch it again later.
