Amid all the new movies out this week are three that feature female leads. If you are thinking of going to a theater as part of your weekend, one of these three would be a great choice.
I’ve previously mentioned two of them. The first is Helen Mirren and Alan Rickman in the thriller Eye in the Sky. Here’s where to watch the trailer for Eye in the Sky and learn more about that film.
Sally Field is being praised for a great performance in Hello, My Name is Doris. Max Greenfield plays opposite Field in this comedy. Learn more about that film and watch the trailer for Hello, My Name is Doris.
The final of the weekend’s women-centric movies is Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, which I have not written about on this blog previously. The film stars Tina Fey, Margot Robbie, Martin Freeman, Alfred Molina and Billy Bob Thornton. It’s based on a real newswoman and her stint as a reporter in Afghanistan. Here’s that trailer.
If you hit the theater this weekend and see one of these, please share you reactions.

Thanks, Virginia. They look good! I’ll try to get to at least one.
